VCU Medical Physics encompasses a variety of faculty, staff, and post-docs who engage in clinical, research, and training duties. Students enroll in either the Master's or Ph.D. programs, both of which are CAMPEP accredited. A CAMPEP accredited residency program is also supported for the training of clinical Medical Physicists.

Overall, the VCU Medical Physics program fosters a strong sense of community and cooperation between members, with a shared goal of performing outstanding research and providing top-notch mentorship and education.
